System requirements
Octlitch is designed for modern 64-bit PCs.
Architecture
Octlitch currently supports the x86_64 architecture used by modern Intel and AMD processors.
Recommended hardware
- 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
- 4 GB of RAM or more
- 25 GB of free storage or more
- UEFI-capable system
- USB port for installation media
- Internet connection for updates and additional applications
Virtual machines
Octlitch can also be tested in virtual machines such as KVM/QEMU and VirtualBox. Allocate at least 4 GB of RAM and enough storage for the installation.
Graphics
Intel and AMD graphics are supported using the drivers included with the Fedora base.
NVIDIA systems can use the open drivers available in the live environment. Proprietary NVIDIA drivers can be installed after Octlitch is installed.
